The Milwaukee Bucks Have Energee!: The Search for the Hottest Dancer

The Milwaukee Bucks slogan for this year is 'Work Hard. Play Hard'.

Their dance team, Energee!, (no, that's not a typo) also works hard by entertaining all the fans in attendance.

Energee's season is much like the Bucks, with tryouts, camps and then 'draft day', when the roster is finalized.

So far, the Bucks are 12-15, making Energee's job even more important.

With all the rankings and list that have been popping up on B/R, I thought I should make my own and show my favorite team's best supporters.

All of these woman not only have the beauty to make an NBA dance team, but have the brains as well, a double threat in this league.

The order of the list is slightly random (I didn't want to rank all 20 for obvious reasons), but I have chosen my Top 5 favorite dancers, because lets be honest, cheerleaders make the game a little more appealing.

Rebecca

Rebecca is one of the six rookies on the 2009-10 Energee squad, and she hails from Kenosha, Wisconsin.

She is working towards a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in dance.

A fun fact about Rebecca is that she has been playing the electric bass guitar for the past five years.

Favorite Buck: She likes them all

She also loves to little coffee shops around the city of Milwaukee and would like to learn how to rap.

Bishara

Bishara is a native of Milwaukee who is in her second season with the squad.

Her name means 'congratulations' in Swahili, and she is studying entertainment broadcast journalism at Columbia in Chicago.

Bishara would like to travel to Somalia one day to visit family and re-learn the language spoken there.

Amanda

Amanda is also in her second year with Energee! and calls Kiel, Wisconsin home.

She has earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in dance, with a business minor.

Nicknamed Manda Panda, she would like everyone to know that it's not as easy as it looks to dance in those boots.

Azure

Azure is new to Wisconsin, as she is a rookie who comes from Eagle Grove, Iowa.

She attended Iowa State University, where she received a Bachelor's degree in Communication and Entrepreneurial Studies.

One item on her bucket list is to take a ride in a hot-air balloon someday.

Jamie

Another rookie to the squad, Jamie is from nearby Brookfield, Wisconsin.

Like many other members of Energee!, she attends UW-Milwaukee, where she majors in marketing with a minor in communication.

Growing up, she had an Elmo lunchbox that she took to school with her.

Tisiphani (co-captain)

Tisiphani is in her third year as an Energee! dancer and is also a native to Milwaukee.

When she's not entertaining Bucks fans, Tisiphani spends most of her time with her two-year old son.

She attended Florida A&M University, where she received a degree in broadcast journalism and communication.

Nickanmed Tizzy, she eventually wants to have a green thumb to be able to do some landscaping.

Stephanie

Stephanie is in her second year with Energee! and hails from Mequon, Wisconsin, a suburb of Milwaukee.

She received a Bachelor of Science degree in business management from Missouri State University.

One of her greatest memories was traveling with other Energee! members to Beijing, China as an ambassador for the NBA Jam Van program.

Favorite Buck: Luc Richard Mbah a Moute

Shawna

Shawna is in her second year on the squad and is from Mukwonago, Wisconsin.

She attends UW-Milwaukee as well and hopes to learn a second language some day.

The city of Milwaukee is a perfect place to achieve that too, as it is very diverse culturally.

Perhaps she'll take up German; I'm a sucker for the German language.

Melanie

Melanie is in her rookie year with Eneergee! and hails from Brown Deer, Wisconsin and is the youngest member of the squad.

She also attends UW-Milwaukee, where she is majoring in broadcast journalism.

When she's not on the court, Melanie is a dance instructor, and she wants to learn to juggle one day.

Marisa

Marisa is another rookie on the squad who came from Madison, Wisconsin.

She too, is attending UW-Milwaukee, where she majors in marketing.

Marisa would like to learn how to snowboard. Being from Wisconsin, there is plenty of time to learn (with winter being so long and all).

Tricia

Tricia, who comes from Bulls territory in Naperville, Illinois, is also in her rookie season on the squad.

She has received a Bachelors of Arts degree from the University of Iowa, with a major in elementary education and a minor in dance.

Tricia lists that she is afraid of snakes, which makes it a good thing she's in Milwaukee. There's not too many snakes around the city, unless you go to the zoo.

Samantha

Samantha is is her second season with the squad and comes from Campbellsport, Wisconsin.

She is majoring in professional communications at Alverno College, with a minor in dance and the theater arts.

Nicknamed Ginger Snap, Samantha hopes to one day write a novel.

Angela

Angela is in her third year with Energee! and is also from Milwaukee, cheering for her hometown team.

She also attends UW-Milwaukee and lives the Jared way of life, as she admits to eating Subway twice a day.

Angela would like to own a fitness and dance studio one day.

Katherine

Katherine is in her third year with Energee! and she too is from outside the state in Stillwater, Minnesota.

She is in her last year at UW-Milwaukee, where she is majoring in psychology.

My favorite thing about her is that she travels to different MLB ballparks in the summer, something I would like to do eventually.

Katherine notes that her favorite place is Fenway Park in Boston and that she would like to learn to salsa dance.

Kim

Kim is also in year three on the squad and comes from Brookfield, Wisconsin.

She received a Bachelor of Science degree in dance and athletic training from UW-Stevens Point (Go Pointers!).

When she's not on the court, Kim is a group fitness instructor and a dance teacher.

She admits to having a tiny bit of road rage while driving as well.

#5. Tiara

Instead of ranking the 20 women, I've done a top 5, hoping to find that hottest dancer of the Energee! squad.

Tiara is from Kenosha, Wisconsin and is in her fourth season with Energee!

She also has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree to her credit.

Simply nicknamed 'T', Tiara was born in Guam.

#4. Allyson

Originally form Reno, Nevada, Allyson is a rookie this year and the elder of the group.

In her case, with age definitely comes beauty as well.

Under her lists of likes are motorcycles, especially Harley Davidson's. What a more perfect place to come other than Milwaukee if you like Harley's?

Her favorite show is 'The Simpsons', but careful guys, she's spoken for, with a ring on that finger.

Regardless, she still has a place in my Top 5.

#3: Laurel

Laurel is in her third year on the squad and is from Minneapolis.

She has Bachelor of Arts degree in dance, English, and management from St. Olaf University.

When she's not on the court, Laurel is in a management training program at another staple in Wisconsin, Quad Graphics.

On a lighter and perhaps weirder note, she has been told by other members of the squad that she has the world's deepest bellybutton.

#2. Sara

Sara is a veteran to Energee!, as she is in her fourth season, and comes from Franklin, Wisconsin.

She received a Bachelor of Science degree in fitness management and is in her second year of an occupational therapy masters program at a local Milwaukee college.

She is one of the dancers that performs as a trampoline dunker, which takes a little bit of courage to attempt.

#1. Tiffany (co-captain)

Tiffany, who is the current longest tenured member of Energee, is in her fifth season and is co-captain with Tisiphani.

She attended Marquette University, where she received a Masters in physician assistant studies and a Bachelor of Science degree in biomedical sciences.

Tiffany is a board certified physician assistant and works in urological surgery.

She also admits to being somewhat of a video game junky.

Tiffany is No. 1 because she has hit the trifecta in my mind; she's got the looks, the brains and enjoys playing video games. I don't think it gets any better than that, do you?
