A release date has not been officially released from Topps concerning their upcoming 2010 Topps UFC Uncaged cards but the word on the street is the 2/22/10 is when they will hit card store shelves. I've written before about my belief that any release date before 6/10 is way to early. Many collectors of this product haven't had time to finish on their 2009 Topps UFC Round 2 collections yet. That being said, here's what you can expect in each box.
- 1 Autographed Card
- 1 Autographed Relic Card
- 3 Relic Cards
Each box will contain 24 packs with 6 cards per pack. The packs could also contain any number of inserts and limited edition serial numbered cards.
The pictures of the cards Topps has released so far look great but do not really distinguish themselves from the other series. We'll see how the majority of collectors take to them. Many are taking a wait and see approach and trying not to get caught up in the hype.
For those that choose to dive right in head first, there are many rewards waiting in these packs. One particularly interesting cards was a dual relic/autograph card of B.J. Penn and Diego Sanchez. After watching their fantastic UFC 107 performance I can't wait to try and get my hands on this card!
Time will tell if this offering from Topps lives up to the previous 2 series of UFC cards.
