Panthers Place Delhomme On Injured Reserve

Adam Schefter of ESPN is reporting that the Carolina Panthers have placed quarterback Jake Delhomme on injured reserve. Matt Moore will start in Delhomme's place for the last two games in 2009.
Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk is reporting that Delhomme may not return to the Panthers in 2010. Delhomme is suffering from a swolen finger, that has kept him out of play the last few weeks.
Last week Moore threw for 299 yards and three touchdowns in an upset victory over the Minnesota Vikings. According to ESPN, the Panthers are now expected to promote Hunter cantwell from their practice squad.
