NFL: Is American Football Taking Off in England?
Since the NFL came to London, it has progressed throughout the country.
Is this a good thing?
Or will it affect our take on other sports?
My take is that it's both. If the NFL captivates an English audience, then potential stars for other English sports such as Rugby, Football and maybe cricket could fall and not achieve as much as they could.
The other thing is, we will have nothing to play toward. There is no European championships or World Cup for this sport. The biggest event is the Super Bowl, and we won't be able to do that because it just will not work.
However, if England welcomed the NFL into the country, we could create some stars for America like Chicago Bulls forward Luol Deng.
That's the only positive I can see, unless you prove to me it isn't.
