Pascal Leclaire and Chris Neal will likely suit up for the Ottawa Senators tonight when they visit the defending Stanley Cup Champions Pittsburgh Penguins. Senators coach Cory Clouston hasn't formally named a starting goaltender for tonight, but if Leclaire is well enough to play, he'll likely get the nod. Backup goalie Brian Elliott has gone 7-8-1 during the stretch Leclaire was out. GM Brian Murray said this experience has been good for Elliott, but Leclaire is a proven Number 1.
Neil, returning from a knee injury, will bring his rough and rugged game back to the Sens lineup. “I’m excited. I hate watching games. It’s frustrating. I like to be out there competing in whatever way you can. I’m looking forward to getting back into it and I feel pretty good.”
