Video: Texas A&M's Derrick Roland Injury

Marshall EriksenCorrespondent IDecember 23, 2009

In one of the worst developments of the holiday season, Texas A&M fourth-year guard Derrick Roland broke his leg during a game against the University of Washington last night.

As you can tell by the picture, it was a gruesome injury, and the video is not for the faint of heart. This includes his teammate and friend Donald Sloan, who finished the play on the other end, but as soon as it was over, could hardly contain himself in horror as to what just happened.

Roland will now need to spend Christmas at Harborview Medical Center. This is a huge blow to Texas A&M, who now have lost one of their best players and emotional leaders most likely for the season.
