Giants Need Help

Sports Radio NY AM1240-WGBBContributor IDecember 23, 2009

The New York Giants defeated the “horrible” Washington Redskins 45-12 on Monday night.

This victory puts the Giants in a comfortable position to make the playoffs. The Giants only problem is the Dallas Cowboys ended the New Orleans Saints undefeated streak, 24-17 on Saturday night.

This victory can give the Cowboys confidence that can hurt the Giants. This is something the Giants shouldn’t be happy about, because they need the Cowboys to struggle in order to make the playoffs.

The Giants have the Carolina Panthers next, whom is 6-8 on the season and that shouldn’t be a hard team to defeat, but the Panthers just beat the Minnesota Vikings, a team that’s been cruising with a 11-3 record and leading the NFC North throughout the season.

The Giants are in a tough situation, because they need the Cowboys to struggle and that doesn’t seem likely after their victory against the Saints.
