Has anyone taken the time to appreciate Eli Manning this year?

Sure, No. 10 is flying below the radar, and I'm sure everyone likes it that way, but we should at least muster up a round of applause or a pat on the back for Mr. Eli Manning. 

Yes, it's not over...but what an impressive campaign to date!

What do Nicks, Boss, Manningham, Smith, Hixon, Hagan, Bradshaw, Beckum, Jacobs, and Pascoe all have in common?

They all caught passes from Eli Manning in the thumping of the Washington Redskins on Monday Night Football.  That's nine different receivers! 

Yes, Eli Manning is having a career year, and his grasp of this offense and his personnel have matured through spreading the ball around.

Eli currently has career highs in completion percentage and yards per attempt, and by adding three touchdowns on Monday night, he surpassed his former career high of 24 TDs with three great throws to Smith, Hagan, and Manningham. 

How about his interception rate?  By averages, Eli will throw only 13 interceptions for the 2009 season which is the second lowest total of his career; 2008 being his career lowest totalling only 10 INTs.

Eli has taken the biggest "worry" amongst fans at the start of season and turned three young, unproven receivers into three pass catching machines.  

Eli has never looked more in rhythm or in sync with his wide receivers.

After Monday night's stellar performance, Manning has accumulated 17 of his 26 touchdowns in 2009 by throwing to Smith, Manningham, and Nicks. 

Not bad for three guys who had only one NFL touchdown between them in 2008.  Sure Nicks was in college, but roll me...you get the point, this is a dangerous trio!

With two games to go, the Giants need some great play and bit of luck to help their playoff opportunity; however, at the end of 2009 season no one will be able to say Eli Manning came up short. 

Yes, Eli can be a bit streaky...but right now, the Giants' offensive play-making ability is at an all-time high.

Who would have ever thought Big Blue would become a pass-first team?  As much as I despise Kevin Gilbride, at least he lets Eli make some plays downfield and the Giants have lacked that for some time.
