So, the Jets knew going into the game that they had a chance to really up their playoff prospects with a victory Sunday against the Falcons, yet failed to seal the deal. The Falcons came out with the sluggishness, expected from a team that had been eliminated due to the major upset Saturday night by the Dallas Cowboys, yet they put it int he endzone when it mattered most on a 4th down with less than 2 minutes to go. The problem that I have with the Jets is not their lack of effort, because these guys love to play hard for Rex Ryan, but it’s their front office moves that really kill this team.
Pete Caroll is obviously a man who is an astute judge of football talent. He has turned the University of Southern California back into a NFL factory with his recruiting. So, when he speaks about a players potential you have to listen- and he let everyone know that Sanchez wasn’t ready for Sundays. This game now goes down as the fourth game that Mark has lost entirely on his own and it calls into question how much faith they should have in this kid going forward.
