The 40 Hottest WAGs of 2009

No. 40: Ashley Judd—Dario Franchitti

It pains me to put Ashley Judd so low on the list because she's such an all-time hottie and a big sports fan to boot, but we are talking 2009 and she's lost a little bit of her fastball.

Still, to celebrate Dario Franchitti's return to racing this year, and accordingly the return of Ashley Judd to WAG status, she earns a spot on the list.

No. 39: Jamie Kotsay—Mark Kotsay

Jamie Kotsay isn't famous. She's not a model, actress, pop star, or even a call girl (sorry Tiger). However, she is considered one of the hottest wives in baseball by the players.

When your peers, who by the way have to deal with being sought after by hot women all the time, talk about how hot another guy's wife is when most people have never heard of her, that's something special.

No. 38: Carrie Underwood—Mike Fisher

Carrie Fisher made the unlikely move from American Idol, to country star, to dating a hockey player. If there's a stranger rout to WAGdom, I would like to know it.

Word is that she wrote a very lovey-dovey thank you to Fisher in the liner notes of her newest album, so I wouldn't be surprised if she becomes a W instead of a G in the near future.

No. 37: Stacey Gardner—Mardy Fish

Tennis player Mardy Fish hit the jackpot when he snagged Deal Or No Deal model Stacey Gardner.

A Deal Or No Deal model is almost like a fancy accessory. They're the new version of Price Is Right models. Some guys show off their fame and wealth by expensive jewelry and cars, other guys get models.

"Yeah, I got the No. 12 case model. I thought about the No. 23 one, but this one runs a little smoother."

No. 36: Kate Hudson—Alex Rodriguez

Kate Hudson was a godsend. A-Rod was smack dab in the middle of a steroid controversy at the beginning of the season when he started dating K-Hud. Hudson apparently took his mind off of all the negative stuff and Rodriguez had a banner year, especially in the play-offs.

Even though they are over now, Hudson's influence on A-Rod made this one of the most important relationships of the year.

No. 35: Hilary Duff—Mike Comrie

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Hilary Duff is all grown up.

Mike Comrie's girlfriend is one of the hottest in the NHL and I can't wait to see more.

No. 34: Jessica White—Terrell Owens

With the egos that models are known for having, I can't even imagine being around Jessica White and T.O. together. I must be like an ego black hole where everyone in their general vicinity gets sucked in and destroyed.

If those two are ever together with Owens' agent Drew Rosenhaus, it might destroy the world.

No. 33: Aleka Kamila—Peja Stojakovic

Peja Stojakovic is a lot like his wife. He's been around the NBA for years, was never really a superstar, but quietly put up some great numbers and had himself a great career.

Kamila is super hot, but is generally not well known in the NBA. But when it's all said and done and Peja is out of the league, I'm going to miss her.

No. 32: Candice Crawford—Tony Romo

It's pretty much a given that if you're whatever flavor of the week that Tony Romo is dating at the moment, you get the nod to be on this list.

Former pageant queen and current sister of Hollywood A-Lister Chase Crawford, Candice has got the goods to be around for a while. And because she's with Romo, she's got the blond hair.

No. 31: Ana Ivanovic —Adam Scott

I'm a huge Ana Ivanovic fan, and she was high up on my list of WAGs of the decade, but I really could have used more of her this year. Not only did she have a down year in tennis, but her boyfriend, Adam Scott, isn't a big PGA star yet and Ivanovic hasn't really been seen with him that much.

I'm putting her here in hopes that she'll start showing up to places in a revealing dress and her long, flowing hair.

No. 30: Jordan Fish—Denny Hamlin

I don't know a lot about Denny Hamlin, or his girlfriend Jordan Fish, but when I saw this picture of her at the Spring Cup awards ceremony, I had to put her on here. She's freaking gorgeous. Definitely one to look out for in 2010.

No. 29: Christy Cooley—Chris Cooley

I can't toss enough praise at the Cooleys. Chris is a legitimately funny athlete and his wife is a smokin' hot ex-cheerleader. And both are okay with Christy taking off her clothes for the camera and showing off for the world.

Couples like that make my job so much easier.

No. 28: Lindsay Clubine—Clay Buchholz

Lindsay Clubine is the second Deal Or No Deal model on this list and for good reason. She also has a recurring part of the series Get Out! which I've never heard of.

Mostly though, she gets the the nod further up on the list because of Clay Buchholz who has shown a lot of promise of being a playboy in the sports world. His girlfriend before this was a former Playmate.

Whether he keeps Lindsay around or trades up, I'm excited to see what's next.

No. 27: Melanie Collins—Scottie Upshall

Melanie Collins is another favorite of mine. The former pinup model for Tempe 12 is a sexy host of NBA TV, showing that she has sports know-how and personality as well as a fabulous body.

NHLer Scottie Upshall is a lucky man. One of these days I may even take the time to figure out who exactly he is.

No. 26: Fabiana Semprebom—Guillermo Canas

Tennis player Guillermo Canas has never been considered one of the World's elite players on the court, but off the court he is a Playah with a capital P for his pickup of Brazillian model Fabiana Semprebom.

She seems...smart.

No. 25: Julie Henderson—Aaron Rodgers

Up yours Brett Favre!

Aaron Rodgers may forever be compared with the ageless wonder, but there is at least one aspect of his life that he is the clear cut winner by a mile: his women.

No offense to Favre's wife, who I'm sure is a lovely woman, but Henderson is so sexy that she could heat up even the coldest Green Bay winter.

No. 24: Daniela Gamba—Nick Swisher

A lot of fuss was made over A-Rod and Derek Jeter's girlfriends around the World Series, but Nick Swisher was sitting pretty himself.

His latest squeeze is former Playmate Daniela Gamba. Swisher has made himself one of New York's favorite players in a short amount of time, and I'm sure that having Daniela by his side can't hurt at all.

No. 23: Hope Dworaczyk—Jason Kidd

I will never make the mistake to underestimate Jason Kidd ever again. When Dallas traded for him, I thought it was a huge mistake. I thought he was on the downside of his career.

However, Kidd has played a huge part in making the Mavs an elite team this year and—oh by the way—he also found time to woo Hope Dworaczyk who shows her affection for Kidd in the most magical way possible. With paint.

No. 22: Brittany Binger—Grady Sizemore

I just found out about Binger last month when she accidentally had nearly-nude pictures of her boyfriend Grady Sizemore stolen from her computer. As you can see, I was quickly impressed.

I was even more impressed when she tweeted that her and Brady were still together after the incident. If that won't break them up, I think we can look forward to more Binger for a while.

No. 21: Ingrid Vandebosch—Jeff Gordon

If there were any NASCAR fans that needed more of a reason to hate Jeff Gordon, I would like to introduce to them Ingrid Vandebosch.

Not only is she incredibly hot, but her last name is Vandebosch. That's the name of a lacrosse wife, not a NASCAR wife. Who does Jeff Gordon think he is?

No. 20: Kendra Wilkinson—Hank Baskett

Wilkinson spent much of 2009 pregnant, but now that she's had the baby, I look forward to seeing her back in top form.

Let's just hope that Hank Baskett improves enough that teams want to sign him, or at least that teams want to boost their ratings by having Kendra on the sidelines rooting him on.

No. 19: Lisa Dergan—Scott Podsednik

Scott Podsednik was close to being out of baseball in 2009. He was signed to a minor league contract in April, but fought his way back onto the roster and hit over .300 in his first 45 games back, including an inside the park homer.

I'm not sure why that's relevant information, but basically I'm just happy that he is playing well enough to keep his wife on my lists.

No. 18: Sarah Foster —Tommy Haas

Tommy Haas' girlfriend Sarah Foster got a big break this year when she landed on the remake of 90210. Tommy Haas, on the other, in on the down slope of his career.

It's like Benjamin Button of careers. They're kind of meeting in the middle.

No. 17: Willa Ford—Mike Modano

What else can you say about Mike Modano's wife, the 11-years-his-younger Willa Ford? She was always hot, but she took it to the next level with a topless water skiing scene in Friday the 13th.

And by topless I mean without a shirt on, not because she lost her head in the movie—literally.

No. 16: Bianca Kajlich—Landon Donovan

Landon Donovan might be the most popular American soccer player, so it's only natural that he would have a ridiculously hot girlfriend. Of course he ended up with a sexy model with an impossible to pronounce name, because that's how the soccer players around the world do it.

Women like this make me so glad that I only have to write these names and not try to pronounce them.

No. 15: Gabrielle Union—Dwyane Wade

Recent reports are that Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade have moved in together this year. We all know that Wade is fearless at driving towards the basket through a sea of seven footers, but moving in with your girlfriend, even one as hot as union, could scare even D-Wade.

No. 14: Gisele Brady—Tom Brady

I know, it seems almost blasphemous to put Gisele this low on the list, but as far as 2009 goes, the Brady's had kind of an off year.

First Tom gets injured, and hasn't been the same this season, then Gisele gets pregnant and spends most of the year not her hot self.

Like Tom, Gisele has to work her way back into being considered a Top-10 talent again.

No. 13: Carmella DeCesare—Jeff Garcia

Jeff Garica may be the most popular rebound quarterback. It seems like every time a quarterback in the league gets injured the team calls Jeff Garcia for insurance.

Hey, any reason to keep his amazing wife Carmella as an athlete's wife is cause for celebration in my world.

No. 12: Meghan Allen—Devin Harris

Meghan Allen is multi-talented. Devon Harris' girlfriend is a former Cyber Playmate, as well as appearing on reality shows Fear Factor and Mama's Boys.

That sort of information can be useful to Harris. If he ever needs her to get naked, eat grubs, and win over his mama, Allen is his woman.

No. 11: Elin Woods—Tiger Woods

A couple of things bumped Elin Woods out of the Top 10 this year. The first is that reports are that her and Woods are breaking up, meaning she won't be around for much longer, but also because with all of the women Tiger has cheated on her with, we're forced to ask if she just wasn't enough woman for Tiger.

No. 10: Leryn Franco—Novak Djokovic

Franco lands in the Top-10 for latching her rising star onto another rising star. Djokovic is currently ranked No. 3 in the World in tennis. While Franco is not actually a great javelin thrower, her looks will take her a long way.

These two have the talent to become one of sports "It" couples for the future.

No. 9: Nicole Scherzinger —Lewis Hamilton

The sexy lead singer of the Pussycat Dolls, as well as the vapid judge for The Sing Off (that's right, I'm cultured) is the girlfriend of Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton.

At least Scherzinger knows how to pick winners. Hamilton is the youngest Formula One World Champion ever.

I guess it's true that women do like guys with fast cars.

No. 8: Cheryl Tweedy Cole—Ashley Cole

Cheryl Cole may be the most multi-talented of any of the women on this list. She is a singer, songwriter, dancer, fashion designer, author, and television personality. In between her many, many jobs, she finds time to be married on one of England's most famous soccer players, Ashley Cole.

Cole is also someone that Elin Woods should talk to. A couple different women have come out claiming to have slept with her husband, but Cheryl has stayed by her man. Of course, two isn't exactly on par with 15.

No. 7: Elisha Cuthbert—Dion Phaneuf

I'm just going to say it. There's no way a guy named Dion Phaneuf gets a girl this hot unless she's Canadian.

No. 6: Eva Longoria Parker—Tony Parker

Longoria is the Peyton Manning of WAGs. She's been around for so long that you sometimes take her for granted and forget just how hot she is. And she's always at Tony's games.

It's enough to make me go to Spurs games and walk around with a Heineken on the off chance that she'll talk to me.

No. 5: Kim Kardashian—Reggie Bush

There was one point over the summer where Kardashian and Bush had broken up. Those were dark days.

Luckily, Kim and her hourglass shaped body are back in Reggie's life and subsequently our lives.

She can't act, sing, or really contribute to society, but damn she is nice to look at.

No. 4: Minka Kelly—Derek Jeter

If you date Derek Jeter, it's going to be a high profile relationship. If you date Derek Jeter during the year that he breaks his World Series slump, we're going to see a lot of you.

Lucky for us, Minka Kelly was that woman this year, and she is amazing. She already won me over on Friday Night Lights and being with Jeter has solidified her as many a sports fan's fantasy.

No. 3: Adriana Lima—Marco Jaric

Marko Jaric is just a couple of steps away from officially being Mr. Adriana Lima. He was released by the Grizzlies at the beginning of this season. It remains to be seem whether he can ever find another job in the NBA.

As much as I'd hate to lose Adriana, I'd have to say, "who cares?" Why get a job playing 10 minutes a game for some team like Oklahoma City when you could be sipping Mai Tais on the beach while your wife makes millions of dollars taking pictures of her wearing nothing?

No. 2: Abigail Clancy —Peter Crouch

Abigail Clancy is the ridiculous hot girlfriend of Peter Crouch who blew up at the 2006 FIFA World Cup along with the other WAGs of the England team.

She also has had an interesting life since then. The couple broke up amid rumors of cocaine use and her cheating with an ex-boyfriend, but they are back together and things are better than ever.

And by better than ever I mean she had her very own wardrobe malfunction earlier this year, which I would guess was way hotter than Janet Jackson's.

No. 1: Brooklyn Decker—Andy Roddick

It wasn't long ago when we all thought that one day Andy Roddick would rule tennis. Unfortunately for him, he came along at the same time as Roger Federer, who actually has ruled hockey. Roddick has since then been labeled somewhat of a disappointment.

However, one way that Roddick has no disappointed at all was in his girlfriends. Earlier in the decade he dated Mandy Moore for a while, but this year he took the cake by marrying swimsuit model Brooklyn Decker.

So at least in one way, for 2009, Andy Roddick is a champion. Brooklyn Decker is the hottest WAG in the world.
