ESPN 30 for 30: Reggie Miller
You thought the Pacers and Knicks rivalry was over. Think again.
ESPN has taken the rivalry between Pacers legend Reggie Miller, and the New York Knicks to the movie screen. On March 14, 2010, ESPN will debut their new "30 for 30" project. The official name of the film will be "Winning Time: Reggie Miller VS The New York Knicks".
Director Dan Klores takes us back to the 90's and lets us in on the famous rivalry between two teams, and two cities. Both cities lay their claim to the game of basketball, both will excellent resumes.
Known as "The Garden's Greatest Villain", Reggie Miller built up a special relationship with Spike Lee and the city of New York.
The film will feature the 1995 playoff series between the two teams, where Reggie absolutely stole the show with his eight points in eight seconds routine. The rivalry featured those previously mentioned, and who could forget the personalities of Patrick Ewing, Larry Brown, Pat Riley, John Starks, Larry Johnson, Rik Smits, Allan Houston, and the many near-riots that took place during this historic rivalry.
So far the ESPN 30 for 30 films have been a great success, and this one should be no different. It's Miller Time.
