Jason Bay has made a huge impact on the Red Sox. There is no doubt about that. But most likely he won't sign with the Sox this next season. The Sox won't sign someone who is asking for the amount Bay is currently requesting.

I saw Bay play last year at home. He did good out in the field but wasn't hitting very consistently. Last year he was either hot one week and terrible the next. The game before this he hit two home runs. Then the next he hit 1 for 2. Luckily Papelbon helped close that game out.

Now if he is going to sign with another big team, he needs to focus on all around fundamentals. He isn't playing to his full potential. He is a great baseball player but he really needs to focus this spring.
