This proves my point, please go to this link (made by a youtube user named Lookoutwhale)

I agree that Kimbo is a "money train" and Zuffa is a business so it does make sense to keep him as well as give him a ton of attention. What frustrates me is that he is being overhyped for his potential as a well-rounded fighter. Nearly Everyone has potential who fights in the UFC. If they didn't, it would not make sense to sign then in the first place.

In the UFC you are fighting against top-notch athletes while most likely spending a large chunk of your time training at a world class training camp. Few fighters do not show potential who are currently in the UFC.

Kimbo isn't special, he is too far overhyped and it bothers me when people justify the argument that he is a good fighter with the logical fallacy that he shows potential (another way of saying that he has the possibility of one day becoming a good fighter). Take a second to think about how foolish that sounds.

Someday Kimbo may a half-decent fighter.

Someday he may hold wins over noteable opponents and my entire argument may not even apply.

Until that someday happens (most likely never) Kimbo remains a small fish in an ocean filled with sharks.

The UFC is for elite fighters who are CURRENTLY elite fighters. The UFC rarely would sign someone they thought someday in the distant future would possibly show potential.

People need to recognize that Kimbo is not in the UFC because the posseses enough skill, but rather because he makes Zuffa a ton of money. I think too many new fans blur the two concepts of a "good fighter" and a "money train" and just because he is in the UFC does not mean that he deserves to be on merit alone.

THE EVIDENCE:

Kimbo Slice is possibly one of the worst fighters to ever fight in the UFC. It is obvious that he does not possess any real talent, but rather receives opportunities to fight solely because of his "street fighter" appeal from YouTube. His fights on YouTube consist of him dominating fighters with little to no actual experience.

You could argue that many of the people he fought were bigger/taller than he was so he was at a disadvantage, but I will retort this argument with two words:

Sean Gannon

Sean Gannon fought one time in the UFC against Brandon Lee Hinkle. Gannon was dominated so badly in that fight that he was never asked to return to the UFC. Was the reason for this that Hinkle was a high level opponent? No, in reality Hinkle was a terrible opponent who was also dominated in his short lived UFC career. Kimbo fought Gannon in a street fight and lost.

To reiterate, Kimbo Slice lost to a Sean Gannon ( awful fighter) who lost Hinkle (bad fighter) = Kimbo is the lowest level fighter possible.

During the Ultimtae Fighter Slice's "I will fight anyone, anywhere, anytime" attitude was shown to be false when he refused a second fight. He did have an injured knee, but what fighter ever enters a fight at 100%? The answer is that few fights occur with both fighters fighting at full-capacity. Training injuries, personal problems, and poor weight cutting mistakes have affected the performance of both the low level fighters and the elite.

THE OPINION:

Kimbo Slice is in the UFC for one simple reason. He is a good fighter!

I hope you sensed my sardonic tone because he is in fact the opposite of a good fighter. The only reason he is in the UFC is because he brings in pay-per view dollars like noneother.

Slice appeals to the same mma fans who only like a brawl. These fans have no idea of the complexities of the ground game in mma and for this reason will never understand that a real fight consists of more than two people standing a foot away from each other swinging as though they are trying to knock each others head off.

These rednecks will boo the second the fight hits the mat because they are too stupid to understand the intricacies of ground fighting. Slice has little technique and since  luring his opponent into a brawl is his only way to win a fight. It is no wonder why the least educated fight fans have the most interest in Slice.

I do think that having Slice in the UFC is a wise investment for Zuffa but saying that he is their because he is good is simply not true.

If you can get one thing out of this article it would hopefully be the knowledge that just because Kimbo is fighting in the UFC does not mean he is fighting there on skill alone. He is a huge attraction and is fighting their because he brings in money for Zuffa.
