One key and vital piece you must have to be a championship team in baseball is power. Finding a power hitter in these days are getting hard. We learned last year how pitching is key but you need power. The 2009 Boston Red Sox had a dominant rotation last year but no pure power hitter, sure they had Jason Bay but like I said they had no pure power hitter.
With a farm system like the Red Sox have where there are a lot of good, young, talented pitchers, why not throw Buccholz at San Diego. Also the Sox have a lot of speed and good center fielders like Reymond Fuentes, and Ryan Westmoreland, so mine as well throw in Ellsbury too.
