One less big check for the Glazers to write.
Bruce Allen is off the Buccaneer payroll and the question everyone is asking: Is Jon Gruden next?
Allen was hired by the Washington Redskins on Thursday and the world is wondering if Daniel Snyder has turned his attention to Allen's partner-in-payroll, Gruden.
Next question: does this mean the end for Raheem Morris as coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers?
The stars are aligning. And we'll soon find out if that ESPN Monday Nigh Football contract with Gruden keeps him from coaching in 2010.
Gruden and Allen reunited in Washington? It's the fondest dream of the Glazer family.
With Allen AND Gruden removed from the Buccaneer payroll, the door could open for a new regime in Tampa to replace the Mark Dominik/Raheem Morris administration that has overseen this 1-12 Buccaneer team.
Stay tuned.
