Icon Sports MediaSam Allardyce worked wonders at Bolton—and now it seems he'll do the same at St James' Park.

Allardyce's Newcastle United club have picked up 13 out of 15 available points in their home games to date.

There's no question that it's a great start—and Big Sam knows how important it is to build on it.

St. James' Park must become a place that no opponent enters lightly. I'm not just talking about the teams below or around Newcastle in the table—I'm talking about the Top Four as well.

If Newcastle are to become a top side again, we need to be beating the best in the league.

Elite teams know the importance of home games. Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal, and Liverpool are the best clubs in country—and their home records are superb.

Change won't come overnight for Allardyce and Co. It will take a several seasons of consistency, hard work, and determination to make St. James' Park the fortress it deserves to be.

I, for one, think Big Sam can pull it off.
