The Associated Press has name Tiger Woods the top athlete of the decade.

Although Woods is currently facing a sex scandal and now linked to a doctor arrested for illegal drugs he has dominated the golf course.

Woods is certainly deserving of the award after recording 64 wins, including 12 majors, in the past 10 years.  He won convincingly by receiving 56 of the 142 votes cast.

He finished the decade by raking in $81,547,410 in earnings from his PGA Tour events.

Other Notable Nominees include Lance Armstrong, who finished second with 33 votes, Rodger Federer, finished third with 25 votes, Michael Phelps, with 13 votes, Tom Brady, finished with 6 votes, and Usain Bolt finished last with 4 votes.
