After his latest destruction of Rich Franklin, Anderson Silva needs a new challenger.
The UFC middleweight division lacks a deep talent pool. Franklin will always be a great fighter, but he could fight Silva five more times without achieving a better result.
So who's next?
Some want to see Dan Henderson drop down to 185 pounds and fight Silva, but Silva would destroy him.
It wouldn't take long for Henderson to find out that it takes more than wrestling skills to handle the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world.
Who's out there besides Henderson? Maybe Paulo Filho, Matt Lindland, Yushin Okima, or Frank Trigg—but none of those guys have the skills or the star power to put fans in the seats.
Dana White needs to find an answer here sooner rather than later. In any event, Silva won't be fighting for awhile—at least not until the UFC brass find someone Joe Rogan can make up a new slough of lies about.
