I pride myself in my loyalty to the Tigers, and I've made a list of the three reasons why Mizzou will win the national title.  I think you'll find they work out.

1) Offense: With six of the top eight pass catchers returning, a good O-line, a potentially dangerous two-back tandem of Derrick Washington and Jimmy Jackson, and triggerman Chase Daniel—a Heisman finalist last year and a preseason favorite to win it this year—where can you go wrong?

2) Defense: Here's where people would wonder about performance—but they shouldn't.  With Mizzou's defense returning 10 starters, spearheaded by LB Sean Weatherspoon, an All-Big 12 performer, and FS William Moore, an All-American, Mizzou's defense should put up impressive numbers.

3) Schedule: With Illinois, Texas, and Kansas the only potential roadblocks in their quest for a perfect season, Mizzou fields a light non-conference schedule, and an equally light conference schedule.

In all, the pieces are there for Mizzou to take it all the way to San Antonio, and even Dolphin Stadium in Miami.  Good luck to players and fans alike.  MIZ-ZOU!

  1. We won't go to San Antonio this year, the Big XII championship game is at Arrowhead this year.

  2. I think most will agree that Missouri will not be in the chip this year. They just aren't that good, nuff said.
