Answered Prayer: CBS May Lose March Madness !!!

Bermuda BobAnalyst IIMay 31, 2016

The hope, dreams, and prayers of the March Madness faithful may finally come true !!!

It has been reported that the NCAA, in a rare demonstration of wisdom, is considering opting out of their contract with CBS for the balance of their commitment as soon as next year !!!

You know CBS ... aka "Can't Broadcast Sanely" ...

  *  That wonderful bastion of basketball which has given us the ridiculous likes of Brent Musberger & Billy Packer ...

  *  The network that refuses to broadcast college basketball in earnest ...

  *  The causation of frustration to fans of March Madness each and every year ...

Reports are that "cable" will take over ... and we know just what that means ...

  *  Giving the tournament to the people who know college basketball better than anyone else ...

  *  Giving the tournament to the people who do their best to offer complete coverage across each and every conference ...

  *  Who employ commentators, analysts, and hosts who work college basketball from October thru April ... and know it inside and out ...

Yup, ESPN ...

ESPN has the capability to put each game of each round on one of their stations which means that no one will come under the imbecilic regional requirement where an east coast team sent out west (or vice versa) can't be seen ...

... and yes, I'm tickled that Hall of Famer Dickie V will get to do the Final Four some day !!!  Like him or not, he is one of those responsible for making college basketball what it is today ...
