My past transgressions with the Russell family is pretty public stuff, so it should come as little surprise when I nearly rang up J-Rock's family today after reading about his latest comments to the media.

What was Mr. Russell's gripe this week? That he's not to blame for his failings as QB, because his team wasn't making plays when it had to. Oh, and don't ask for a pay cut. Not gonna happen (can't blame him on this one, though).

A word of advice to the rich and blameless: Raider Nation has been so starved of winning these last few years that Bruce Gradkowski is now heralded as the second coming of Rich Gannon. Now, I'm not saying you aren't right, but you don't knock a pauper for drooling over Rat Stew like it was prime rib -- especially if you're in his alley, and you're the slumlord who evicted him.

Just saying.
