Social networking was supposed to be a place where the cynical youth could escape the blitz of corporate brainwashing.
Alas, MySpace and Facebook sold us out. But who would have thought Frank Mir?
Earlier this evening, I received a personal (cough) Facebook message from the former interim champion himself (for the record, I am friends with two Frank Mir's so this could very well be an impostor). With that said...the message read as follows:
This is Frank Mir. I am certain that I will win my next fight; if you are too then you can place a bet on http://sports.bodog.com/welcome/3033176 and get Free Bonus. I promise to thank you fans after I win.
Now if you are like me, then we have at least fifty friends in common (MMA fighters) and you likely received the same message from Frank Mir.
I am certainly glad Frank is so confident in his abilities that he wants all of his fans to make some cash for his hard work.
In fact, I will likely place a bet and help Frank get some referral money in the process – anything I can do to help support the sport.
But mark my words Mr. Mir, if you get cute and stand with Kongo, and end up with your face on the canvas floor, I am removing you as my Facebook friend!
