Arsene Wenger had earlier said he admired Valencia's Raul Albiol.
Valencia have not received an offer from Arsenal for the Spanish defender, the player's agent has announced.
Reports in the English press on Wednesday suggested the London club had made contact with Valencia regarding a possible transfer of the 22-year-old centre back.
Albiol is currently with his native Spanish team, playing in the European Championships.
"Raul would consider going to Arsenal—but nobody has called me from Arsenal," revealed Albiol's agent.
Arsenal earlier had a bid rejected for Udinese's Cristan Zapata, which strongly suggested the Gunners would launch a bid for the Spaniard.
Meanwhile, according to reports, Samir Nasri has been signed by Arsenal.
If so, then can we expect Raul Albiol to be Arsenal's third signing of the summer, after Aaron Ramsey and Samir Nasri?

He's a possibility considering Valencia are in some sort of financial crisis.. He's tall, powerful and could be a perfect foil for either Gallas or Toure at the back - for me, he would be an ideal signing in terms of price and quality - but Wenger knows what's best.
