Slovenian-Americans like myself do love to laugh—laughter is actually forbidden in Slovenia—so I am overjoyed that the Tiger Woods punchlines keep on rolling.

The diversity of comedy available is truly inspiring. The Woods situation even made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel's "Unnecessary Censorship", my favorite bit in late night comedy.

With the news on Woods' mother-in-law coming in, there's truly no end in sight for this story, so try not to get too fatigued.

Instead, relax, and have a laugh or two. It's the patriotic thing to do.

Letterman Speaks!

Rackmultipart

We were all looking forward to Letterman's monologue on the subject, and he finally broke his silence Monday, riffing on Woods "calling him too much" and remarking about how Obama might be sending troops to the wrong place.

Tiger Woods Affair Makes Letterman's Top Ten

Rackmultipart

Tiger Woods was also the subject of Letterman's top ten list, if you dig this portion of the Late Show (I never have).

SNL Clowns On The Woods' Press Conference

Rackmultipart

NBC did a way better job hunting down embedded versions of the fantastic SNL Tiger Woods skit than most tabloids did in rooting out Woods' affairs before the car accident. Those people are in the wrong business!

I was still able to track one down, but if it should get pulled, do let me know.

Fallon Mimics The Announcer Whisper

Rackmultipart

Jimmy Fallon didn't do a bad job on the Woods situation. I always cringe in expectation of him bombing, but he went with the "announcer whisper" route and did it to good effect.

You'll have to wait for the entire episode to load—NBC better figure out how to divide up these clips—but it's worth the wait.

Conan Calls In His Joke Caddy

Rackmultipart

Conan O'Brien continues to attack the situation irreverently and hilariously, calling in a "joke caddy" to ascertain whether the conditions for ripping on Woods are favorable for an aggressive shot, or whether he should play up.

Jay Leno Trots Out The Tiger Woods Tote Board

Rackmultipart

Leno took a safe route that lacked edge—that's always been my biggest complaint about the guy—but the Tiger Woods Tote Board was a nice touch.

Craig Ferguson Channels Kirk Douglas

Rackmultipart

Ferguson's monologue took a little while to get to the matter—he belabored it with the usual self-deprecating remarks—but when he finally got around to Tiger, he compared the transgressions charade to the scene in Spartacus with multiple women stepping forward as Woods' mistress.

Except in this case, they're all telling the truth.

Woods Also Makes Kimmel's "Unnecessary Censorship"

Rackmultipart

A few Woods mentions make Kimmel's "Unnecessary Censorship" bit, probably the greatest segment currently in late night comedy.

Enjoy.

Lopez is Pounding the Tiger Content

Rackmultipart

George Lopez has jumped all over the Tiger story and made it his own. He's been pretty sharp on the matter, eviscerating Tiger in his monologue for not escaping in a Ford Bronco.

Lopez continued with the OJ attack by bringing on Kato Kaelin as a career advisor to Woods' mistresses. Nice.
