Just when I thought the BCS couldn't get any worse... it has.

We have one of the most lopsided matches in recent memory with Alabama vs. Texas in the National Championship game set to take place, and now we have the two BCS-busting teams set to bust... each other.

I didn't have a doubt in my mind that Boise and TCU were going to be given a shot against a Big Six team.

But, no, I was wrong. Way wrong.

Having these two magnificent teams play each other is the worst thing the selection committee could have done. They pretty much told BSU and TCU that they were ranked in the top 8 for no reason.

This game will be played for no reason, with no emotion, playing just to play. It must turn these kids' stomachs to know that they bust their tails off just as hard, if not harder than any other team in the nation, yet when they step on the field and show what all that tail-busting has made, they don't get looked at twice.

As a fan of this great sport it pains me to see these teams, and any team just like them, work hard and ask for nothing, not even get a shot at proving their worth.

Perhaps something good will come out of this. But who knows, only time will tell.
