The Memphis Grizzlies need a Power Forward or Center desperately.  This team has built a pretty strong foundation as far as the PG, SG, and SF spots go with Mike Conley, Rudy Gay, and Mike Miller.  But they need to build the PF and C position, and this year's draft is a great chance.

In my mind there are three possibilities that the Grizzlies could draft.

Kevin Love, 6'10", 275-lb PF from UCLA: The kid has game.  He dominated the Pac-10 with his powerful post moves and ability to shoot the jump shot.  He's got the size to play in the NBA and could make a smooth transition to NBA play.  He could be good.

Brook Lopez, 7'0", 260-lb PF/C from Stanford: This superior twin can hoop.  He is a great team player and can fill up the cup with his nicely played shots.  However, he will most likely end up being just a body in the NBA and doesn't have much upside.  He is a very safe pick though due to his size and skill.

Anthony Randolph, 6'11", 220-lb PF from LSU: This lanky forward can run and gun and has been compared to Chris Bosh.  This kid played a great year for a mediocre LSU team and banged with other NBA-bound players in the SEC like Marreese Speights from Florida.  Randolph has the raw skill that gives him the reputation as a top-five talent in this upcoming NBA draft class.

Here's the skinny—the Grizzlies need a power forward real bad.  They can be safe and pick Lopez or Love, or they can be risky and select Randolph.  There is always a potential for Randolph to flop and not play, but I believe his potential to become a key starting and contributing PF for the Grizz is much more likely and worth the risk.
