Yesterday Greg Oden suffered a fractured left knee patella (broken kneecap) in the first period of Saturday's 90-89 win over the Houston Rockets. The big man has been going thru injuries pretty much all of his 3 year career.

In his first year Oden did not even play because of a knee injury.

After the injury Oden commented that "I'm obviously disappointed having worked so hard to get to where I was," Oden said in a statement released by the team. "This is a setback, but I'll be back. It's in God's hands now."

This is not only a big problem for the Portland big man but also for Portland. Greg Oden was really their only starting role type center on the team.

As the days go by I will write another article about weather the Blazers are shopping for a big man.

As of free agency the Blazers could try to contact Dikembe Mutombo just for the season.
