With the 2010 World Cup draw just moments away, here is my mock draw of the 32 teams:
Group A: South Africa, Honduras, Chile, and Switzerland
Group B: Italy, Japan, Cameroon, and Greece
Group C: Holland, Korea DPR, Paraguay, and Slovakia
Group D: England, Australia, Ivory Coast, and Serbia
Group E: Argentina, United States, Ghana, and Slovenia
Group F: Spain, Korea Republic, Nigeria, and Denmark
Group G: Brazil, New Zealand, Algeria, and France
Group H: Germany, Mexico, Uruguay, and Portugal
The USA would love this draw, as Ghana and Slovenia are ranked in the mid-30s. They would be favored to move on. Chile and Switzerland would also love this draw in group A with South Africa and Honduras.
The group of death would easily be Group G with Germany, Mexico, Uruguay, and Portugal. The average world ranking of the group is 11.25.
