The newly acquired wide receiver for the Oakland Raiders, Javon Walker, was found unconscious on a Las Vegas street Monday.

He was robbed and beaten, then left unconscious after a night of partying on the strip.

The Las Vegas Police Department is running an investigation in an attempt to find out who he was with and where he was during the previous night.

All of us who represent the Raider Nation hope that he makes a quick recovery, and is available to play sooner rather than later. As for the rest of the fans in the NFL, be sympathetic to the Raiders in the meantime.

  1. Im sorry but this is the funniest thing I've heard in a while. You would think that Darrent Williams bleeding to death in his lap would make Javon not as willing to go buck wild at a club but apparantly not. What is most puzzling however is where Javon was found; in a road between two hotels, basically a back ally industry area where food and things are brought into the casino's through the back door. This begs a few questions:

    A. Why the hell was javon back there; perhaps he was beat up before hand and placed there
    B. If he was there on his own will why was he alone
    C. Most importantly why would you go into a sketchy place with 100K worth of jewelry around your neck, a few more thousand and cash, piss ass drunk with no help or muscle with you, after you spent the night buying 15 bottles of Dom and flaunting your money to everyone in the club.

No-one deserves what happened to Javon but he was certainly handing these thugs a great opportunity to make a quick and easy score.

  2. he was beaten into submission in his hotel room, according to some reports, than dragged out... but that info was just released today...

  3. Ahh i knew it!
    I should be detective haha.

  4. Greg,

I was wondering if you would be interested in launching an Oakland Raiders Blog. Email me at joe@sportstechnow.com to discuss further.

  5. I have no respect for anybody who is so wasteful and has such little disregard for their own money that they spray $15000 worth of champagne into a crowd at a club.

  6. This is some terrible news...Javon needs to calm himself down though.
