America's Andy Roddick went into his Quarter Final match against the Serbian Novak Djokovic with a 2-2 head to head record, Djokovic had won their encounter at last year's US Open while Roddick hit back to defeat the Serb in the last 8 of this year's Australian Open.
The duo then met again in the Quarter Finals of the Masters 1000 event in Indian Wells California.
On that occasion Roddick played some very aggressive tennis and was rewarded as he claimed the 1st set 6-3 the 2nd set was even more one sided and Roddick held his nerve to win it 6-2 to claim a 6-3 6-2 victory.
Roddick faced the World Number 1 Rafael Nadal in the Semi Finals and although the American played a solid match Nadal proved too strong as he won through 7-6 6-4.
Nadal went on to win the title when he hammered Andy Murray 6-1 6-2 in the title match.
If you are a Betting person then you would do well to back Roddick to win a major title next year.
