The Bruins entered the Garden on Wednesday night looking to keep there winning ways in tackt verses the lightning. With the team just extending Savards contract to another 7 years they would look to him to show why he wants to be a Bruin forever. In the first period about eight minuets in Bruins would go on the Powerplay and it was Marc Savard who would score on smith as he stuffs the puck in on a rap around 1-0 Bruins. the black and goal would keep the red light shinning as Bergeron slides a goal past smith ending the period with a 2-0 lead.

into the second boston would continue where they left off with 2 goals from Marco Sturm. Boston looking to climb back to where they were and wated to be at the begianing of this season on top the eastern conference. Also this was a win that the team needed in order to get a mind set that it feels good to not only win but win by more than 1 or 2 goals. The Bruins have had to many games go into overtime or a shootout and now that the team is out of that funk it would be nice to see them take advantage and really show that they are still a tough team to compete with. the bruins have 2 big games this weekend as they face the Canadiens on friday and the most anticipated game agenst former Bruins rookie Phill Kessel and the toronto Maple Leafs. this game is one that could be as big as the game the Red Sox had when Johnny Damon returned to Fenway in pin stripes. Winning both of these games could deff bring so much confidence to this team.
