2008 NBA Finals Head Back to Boston

matt carpenterCorrespondent IJune 16, 2008

The Lakers came out on Sunday and showed that they were not going down easy.

They pulled out to a 19 point first quarter lead. The Black Mamba was red hot in the first period,he scored 15 points and was 4-5 from behind the arc. Kobe was slowed down in the second quarter when he didn't make a single basket.

As the game went on,it started looking like the Lakers were going to collapse again. Boston had won the previous third quarters in the first four games, but this was a much different turnaround.

Kevin Garnett was in foul trouble for much of the game. Garnett and Paul Pierce both picked up their fifth foul within the last couple of minutes. When Garnett was on the bench, the Lakers struggled.

The Lakers lost that big lead once again. This time they got their lead back and didn't give up like they did Thursday.

If the Celtics can't contain Odom, Gasol, and Bryant, they might as well not even suit up and play.

Just like I said in one of my previous articles, the Lakers will win in 7 games. It wont be an easy task at all.
