Arsenal vs Chelsea, Fair Game?
Arsenal hosted Chelsea for their second Big Four game of the season and lose again but this time fair a square.
Was it actually fair?
We eventually see Referees making some terrible calls yesterday... however the only one raise was by Wenger about the canceled goal because they lost, Ancelloti didn't cared about the pushing, pulling and knocking... he won, end of the story....
but as much as we must not forget good referees, we must not forgive bad ones even if we win...
The First Goal
Came from a cross from Chelsea LFB Ashley Cole, obviously from the left side of the field to Drogba. Drogbe then sent it to the top of the goal which hits the post and bounce to the right to hit the post again and goes into the net.
No offside, no fouls and nothing....
Clear clean goal....
The Second Goal
Can't find a relevant picture sorry...
The second goal was kind of similar to the first just that this time Ashley decided to cross it to an Arsenal Player which also netted the ball... (sadly)
And this ends the wonderful first half.
Does the second goal ends the first half?
Does this looks familiar?
Around the 30th minute, Anelka broke Arsenal's offside trap only to be pulled down by Sagna in the penalty box but Chelsea wasn't given a penalty.
[Maybe the referees knew that Sagna was gay and was just trying to gay with Anelka.]
Ashley's Sliding Takle
Not the right picture cause eventually I can't find the particular picture....
Few minutes after the first goal... Ashley did a wonderful sliding tackle which protected Chelsea's clean sheet against Arsenal.
As much as Wenger wants to claim it as a penalty, replays clearly shows otherwise. And anyway, the guy was offside.
Arsenal's canceled goal...
no relevant picture...
After Fabregas knock the ball off Petr Cech's hand... (is this right cause thats what i saw from replay) Arshavin and his fellow team mates than took almost 30 seconds to shot and score at a keeperless goal.
However the referee who had been blowing all the time canceled the goal. And Wenger went on to complain....
But then, we look at the rest of the play, remember, Vermaelen pulling on to John Terry preventing him from heading in a sure goal in the second half? that was the second penalty which didn't came...
What about Rosicky which kick and push and knock Mikel? and yellow or maybe even Red? not only he wasn't given a card, he wasn't even fouled! and the referee waved an out and the ball was given to Arsenal! fake enough?
How about the part where Gallas tried to mimic Terry's missile headed but his was on Branislav Ivanovic and not the ball right outside the box... and nothing was given but a goal kick.
Many other examples in the second half where Arsenal became so wild at their playing style that we actually see Arsenal fans leaving the stadium at around 60 minutes.
Chelsea beaten Man United is a rather exciting match which sees referee making decision for both side from time to time... Overall the match was fair, just sadly we didn't play well and couldn't beat them nicely.
Liverpool's match was very nice, that was fair play I would say.
and Arsenal's match was purely not fair play, the score could have been 5-1 or more for Chelsea!
