Raptors Report Week Five: The Schedule Is Getting Better

Sachin AroraCorrespondent INovember 29, 2009

Well, the Raptors' week this week was brutal to say the least.

After beating the Pacers at home, they got completely outplayed on the road by the Bobcats, and run over by the Celtics. They finally came home Sunday and took a loss to the Suns.

Record: 1-3

Performance on a Scale of 1-10: 4.5

Positives: Even after a second straight week of going 1-3, the Raptors still have some positives. Jarrett Jack is finally starting to play as well as he is capable of. The team has been able to keep themselves in games in the first half and have shown the ability to come back.

A big positive is that the Raptors schedule gets much easier from here on out.

Negatives: Hoo boy. Where do I start?

The defense has still been terrible, but that seems to be the case every week.

The offense has had a lot less flow in it lately, and Andrea Bargnani has been struggling with his shot. The Raptors seem to keep it close after the first half, but in the second half they seem to just lose it. Coach Jay Triano has no answers for opposing teams' bursts of offense.

Overall, this was a pretty disastrous week. When is Reggie Evans coming back? We sure could use him.
