Ben and Batch injurred in loss.

GridironFans.com by Correspondent Written on November 29, 2009
Well, busy week for me with Thanksgiving and spending time with the family and I forget to update. Well this game started off horribly. I go to check on laundry and come upstairs and see the game is 7-0 and Steelers are punting. I rewind and see the kickoff return. 4 in the past 5 games, something needs to happen to fix this horrid special teams.

Steelers bounced back and went up 17-3 before the Chiefs cut it to 7 before halftime. Steelers get the ball after the half and really need a drive to take control of the game but that doesn't happen. The rest of the way the Chiefs were in control.

Heading into OT, the Steelers win the coin toss and I am thinking that we take it down and get a field goal to win. Nope, Ben gets hurt and Charlie Batch comes in. Ben's injury was his own fault. As a QB, you are told to slide, not dive. Batch completes a big pass and from there it was mush. Chiefs get the ball back and march down field thanks to a huge pass play. Sets up a field goal and game.

Congrats to the Chiefs.

Game balls for the game

Steelers ~ Hines Ward. He played well and scored a TD.

Chiefs ~ Ryan Succop for his game winning field goal and also Andy Studebaker for his 2 interceptions.
