Anderson Silva vs Rich Franklin

Fifty three weeks ago we saw one of the most devastating KO's in the UFC history as Anderson Silva took only 2:59 of the first round to knockout Rich Franklin.  Since this bout both fighters have had two fights a piece.  Rich Franklin had dominating wins over Yushin Okami and Jason Macdonald. Anderson Silva had a non title fight against Travis Lutter, who exposed Silva's takedown defense, as well Silva beat Nate Marquardt at 4:50 of the first round.  If Franklin wants to win this fight he will try and shoot in on Silva. If it stays standing Silva will win.

Tim Sylvia vs Brandon Vera

This fight is interesting because of the fact that neither has fought in eight to eleven months, and because of the vacant heavyweight title.  The key to this fight is there mutual opponent Assuerio Silva.  At the Ultimate Fight Night 3 Tim Sylvia won a lackluster 5 round unamious decision while Brandon Vera submitted Silva halfway through the very first round.  Tim is going to wait for Vera to "chase" him while Vera will try to chop down the 6'8" Tim Sylvia with leg kicks.
