My Dream Wrestlemania 26 Card

In this slideshow I will discuss my dream card for Wrestlemania 26, including what I believe should happen in the build up to the big event and then who should win the matches on my card. I will also discuss why I believe these matches should happen and rate the chances of these matches taking place.

First Match—Money In The Bank Ladder Match

Money In The Bank Ladder Match—Evan Bourne vs Matt Hardy vs Sheamus vs Kofi Kingston vs Jack Swagger vs MVP vs R-Truth vs Zack Ryder
Build Up - This would happen on Raw, Smackdown, ECW and Superstars with qualifying matches to get into the match.

No real build up 1st and 2nd week after Elimination Chamber

3rd Week

Raw
1. Evan Bourne defeats The Miz after 5:30 with Air Bourne.
2. Sheamus defeats Shad after 8:19 with Bicycle Kick.

Smackdown
3. Matt Hardy defeats Dolph Ziggler after 13:40 with Twist of Fate.
4. Jack Swagger defeats John Morrison after 10:00 with Gutwrench Powerbomb after Miz distracts John Morrison.

4th Week

Raw
5. Kofi Kingston defeats Mark Henry after 11:30 with Trouble In Paradise.

ECW
6. Zack Ryder defeats Goldust after 18:25 with Zack Attack.

Superstars
7. MVP wins a Battle Royal after 13:00. Other participants were Primo, Chavo Guerrero, Cody Rhodes, Drew McIntyre, JTG, David Hart Smith, Tyson Kidd, Tommy Dreamer and Vladimir Kozlov. MVP eliminated Drew McIntyre last.

Smackdown
8. R—Truth defeats Mark Henry after 11:30 with the Truth Axe.

5th Week

Superstars
VIP Lounge with all eight superstars in the ring. MVP interview each one and in the end Sheamus stands tall at top of the ladder which is placed in the middle of the ring.

Why those 8 Superstars?
Evan Bourne - Evan deserves a chance to shine and his high flying ability could stand him in good stead in this match.
Matt Hardy—Matts history in TLC matches would give him a good chance in this match and due to his vast experience in the WWE definitely deserves a chance to be his brand's lead champion.
Sheamus—After having a main event match at TLC will deserve a chance to get there again.
Kofi Kingston—Having excelled in an amazing feud with Randy Orton will get a chance to get to that level in a match that he looked brilliant in last year.
Jack Swagger—The two-time two-time all American American's strength should make him a top contender in this match.
Zack Ryder—Arguably the most improved wrestler of the year so on that basis deserves to be in this match.
MVP—A top contender after all his hard work in recent years and has paid his dues, 5 month losing streak, so would definitely be a favorite in this match.
R-Truth—The athletic ability of Truth stands him in good stead in this match which may make him one of the top contenders in this match.

Wrestlemania:

This match would be given 20 minutes including shortened entrances. The match goes as you would expect with lots of big high flying moments. In the end Kofi Kingston walks out with the case.

What are the chances of this match happening?
Obviously this match will happen and I seriously hope that WWE uses the same Superstars as I would dream of seeing.

Second Match - Falls Count Anywhere No Disqualification ECW Title Match

Second Match - ECW Title – Shelton Benjamin vs William Regal

Build Up - This would happen on ECW.

It would all begin after Shelton wins the ECW title from Christian at TLC in December. Regal still feels he deserves to be champion and after Tiffany announces that Yoshi Tatsu will be the number one contender for the Championship Regal goes on a rampage and first injures the lower ranked superstars on the roster, i.e. Tyler Reks and Hurricane, before he takes it a step too far at the Rumble when he attacks Tatsu, putting him out of action. Benjamin takes it into his own hands and tells Regal that because he attacked one of his closest friends he will give him his shot at Wrestlemania in a Falls Count Anywhere No Disqualification match at Wrestlemania but only if he remains undefeated until Wrestlemania with Benjamin picking his opponent each week. Regal then goes on to defeat each person Benjamin throws at him including current stars like Christian and Zack Ryder and against legends like Jimmy Snuka and Rob Van Dam.

Wrestlemania

William Regal would finally win the ECW title in a 15 minute match after Vladimir Kozlov disguised as a fan would attack Benjamin in the crowd area and take him out and then Regal would hit the running boot to the head of Shelton and pin him for the win.

Why should this match happen?
These two veterans deserve a chance in the limelight and are the two best wrestlers on ECW behind Christian who I have plans for later on so I hope that these two are the people who the writers pick to fight at the big PPV to fight for the ECW Championship.

What are the chances of this match happening?
Well I believe that if the ECW Championship is defended at the big one then this will be the match unless they decide to keep Christian in this title picture and miss a huge opportunity with him (more later).

Third Match - CM Punk vs Rey Mysterio

Third Match - CM Punk vs Rey Mysterio

Build Up - It starts at the Elimination Chamber with both men in it and Punk is looking good having eliminated two wrestlers already and just as he is about to eliminate Batista, Mysterio kicks him in the back 619s him and eliminates him. On the next Smackdown while Punk is preaching to the crowd about how he was blindsided and then out of nowhere Mysterio attacks him from behind again and then hurricanes him onto the chair that Punk was sitting on. This continues to be the story until the week before Wrestlemania when he finally catches Mysterio out and totally beats him down and then unmasks him only to reveal that it is Rey Mysterio Sr and then Jr attacks him from behind and attacks him.

Wrestlemania

At Wrestlemania Punk wins after 15 minutes after an extraordinary back and forth contest which ends in Punk hitting the GTS on Mysterio and then after the match tries to attack him only for a mystery masked wrestler, Bryan Danielson, to save Mysterio and chase Punk away.

Why should this match happen?
I believe that this match would be a real good midcard match and would help to continue keep the fast tempo of the PPV going and would also be the perfect opportunity to debut Bryan Danielson and get him over big time.

What are the chances of this match happening?
If Mysterio is back from his surgery then I'm almost 100% sure that this match will happen.

Fourth Match - Brand Supremacy, Champion vs Champion Match

Fourth Match - Brand Supremacy, Champion vs Champion Match - Melina vs Mickie James

Build Up - This match starts to come into play on Superstars where the Raw Divas are telling the Smackdown Divas that they still believe that they were lucky so Michelle McCool, the current Women's Champion, suggests that each brand have a battle royal for their title and the winner of each battle royal and the champion on their brand then face at Wrestlemania in a Champion vs. Champion Brand Supremacy match. Melina the Raw battle royal and retains her title and on the Smackdown side Mickie James wins the Womans Championship by winning the Battle Royal so she will face Melina at Wrestlemania. Over the following weeks the two divas enjoy some friendly trashtalking and both show why they're the top divas on their brand by defeating members of the other brands in matches.

Wrestlemania

Mickie James wins after a 10 minute match which confirms Smackdown as having the best Divas. After the match the two embrace and head to the back together.

Why should this match happen?
In a time when WWE Divas are treated so badly this match would be one of the first in a long time that people may actually look forward to and given that these two are the best Divas in the WWE at the moment this would be a very enjoyable match.

What are the chances of this match happening?
In all honesty pretty slim as WWE will probably give us another throwaway gimmick match featuring the Divas.

Fifth Match - Champion vs Champion - The Miz vs John Morrison

Fifth Match - Champion vs Champion - The Miz vs John Morrison

Build Up - The foundations were made for this match back at the WWE Draft last year when The Miz attacked John Morrison after the former tag team champions were drafted to separate shows. Then at Bragging Rights Miz defeated Morrison in a singles match and then to make things worse for Morrison at Survivor Series Team Miz defeated Team Morrison to make Miz 2-0 up on Morrison. Then at Royal Rumble John Morrison was on a roll until The Miz sneaked up behind him and eliminated him. That makes Miz 3—0 up on Morrison and Morrison is now more than ever to set the record straight so after both being unsuccesful at winning the World Title at Elimination Chamber Morrison suggests a match at the Granddaddy PPV of them all in a match where the loser has to give up his title and then at Backlash face the other in a blindfold Extreme Rules match. Miz agrees because he's awesome. Over the next four weeks each keep switching the upper hand in the rivalry with heading into the PPV Miz having it.

Wrestlemania

John Morrison wins after 15 minutes in a very entertaining match with lots of near falls. After the match Cryme Tyme come out and take the very stroppy Mizs' title to the back.

Why should this match happen?
This would be a real Wrestlemania match that the 2 of them deserve after a great year in which they have both proved themselves to be future main—eventers.

What are the chances of this match happening?
I think this match is almost a cert unless WWE decides that one of these two are going to win the Money In The Bank match

Sixth Match - WWE Championship - John Cena vs Batista

Sixth Match - WWE Championship - John Cena vs Batista

Build Up - Summerslam 2008: Batista defeats and injures John Cena. Since then they haven't had a rematch. Then at Elimination Chamber after Cena retains the WWE Championship and is standing tall at the top of the titantron Batista attacks Cena with a chair from backstage and absolutely destroys him. Then on the Raw after it we see Cena giving an interview from his hospital bed. Batista is dressed as a doctor and then attacks Cena in a scene reminiscent to Stone Cold Steve Austins attack on Vince McMahon many years ago. Batista keeps attacking Cena wherever he goes but in the go home Raw Cena Attitude Adjustments Batista off the titantron and through the tables at the bottom.

Wrestlemania

Batista wins via DQ so Cena retains after 15 minutes after destroying Cena with weapons found under the ring and Cena is carried out of a stretcher. Batista laughs as he walks away from the ring.

Why should this match happen?
Since there has been no rematch it would be perfect on the big stage and it would definetly help Batista's heel persona if he was to put WWE's posterboy out on a stretcher when the biggest audience is tuned in.

What are the chances of this match happening?
I would love to see this match happen but I'll be honest I highly doubt that WWE will go down this road.

Seventh Match - World Heavyweight Championship – Randy Orton vs Ted DiBiase

Seventh Match - World Heavyweight Championship – Randy Orton vs Ted DiBiase

Build Up - The tension starts growing between the three members of Legacy at the Royal Rumble when DiBiase surprises his fellow members by eliminating Cody Rhodes and then leader Randy Orton and then goes on to win the Rumble. The next night on Raw the three members of Legcay argue and then DiBiase turns on them in a six-man-tag match against Kofi Kingston, Mark Henry and MVP when he refuses Orton's attempts to tag him into the match and leaves them to make it a handicap match.

The next week the number one contender to a title of his choice at Wrestlemania is facing Sheamus when Orton and Rhodes hit the ring and distract DiBiase allowing Sheamus to roll him up and get the victory. Then in the week before Elimination Chamber Orton is in a qualifying match for the Raw Elimination Chamber when DiBiase appears backstage on the titantron and distracts Orton which Miz takes advantage of and hits Skull Crushing Finale on Orton for the victory.

Then during the Smackdown Elimination Chamber Teddy Long announces that Drew McIntyre got injured backstage and that a random wrestler will take his place. Orton's music hits and he ends up winning the Smackdown Elimination Chambe and the World Heavyweight Championship. The next night on Raw DiBiase announces he will face Orton at Wrestlemania for the title and a brawl starts between the two. This continues over the next three weeks and then on go home edition of Raw, WWE Chairman Vince McMahon announces that DiBiase and Orton will each take on their opponent's father. Ted DiBiase Jr goes onto defeat Cowboy Bob Orton while Randy Orton vs TedDiBiase Sr ends in a no contest after the referee stops the match after Orton punts DiBiase in the skull. This infuriates DiBiase who is seen in a very angry state as Raw ends.

Wrestlemania

Ted DiBiase wins after a 20 minute match as Orton hits the RKO but instead of going for the pin he goes for the kick to the head but DiBiase rolls out of the way and then Dream Streets Orton and wins his first world title. DiBiase is seen crying as he walks away with the belt.

Why should this match happen?
Every feud that Orton has been in have been golden since Triple H at Wrestlemania so if the WWE are serious about pushing DiBiase then I'm almost 100% sure that he should start a feud with Orton when he breaks up with Legacy.

What are the chances of this match happening?
I highly doubt that it will be for the World Heavyweight Championship but signs seem to be indicating that this match will take place.

Eighth Match - Unified Tag Team Championship TLC Match - Edge & Christian vs Chris Jericho & The Big Show

Eighth Match - Unified Tag Team Championship TLC Match - Edge & Christian vs Chris Jericho & The Big Show

Build Up - The Royal Rumble match begins and Chris Jericho is out to the ring first as the No. 1 entrant and then Jericho eliminates the second entrant Luke Gallows. Jericho is doing well but then No. 15... "You think you know me!!!!!!!". Edge comes sprinting down to the ring to huge cheers and immediately spears Jericho after the remarks he made after he had to forfeit his half of the tag team championship with him back on the July 13th edition of Raw. The two brawl to the outside of the ring and in turn are both eliminated from the Rumble. The two keep brawling at ringside until they are pulled away by the referees and trainers who came from backstage.

Then on the Smackdown the week after Teddy Long announces that the half of the Unified Tag Team Champions in Chris Jericho will take on Edge at Elimination Chamber. Later in the show Jericho is seen talking to Big Show and walks away towards the locker room and then out of nowhere Edge appears and spears Jericho through the locker room door and then as Big Show comes he runs away as Big Show tends to his tag team partner.

The next week Big Show challenges Edge to a boxing match but when Big Show is about to knock out Edge, he ducks and then spears Big Show and then hits him with a steel chair and gets the 10 count win. The following week as Edge steps out of his limo Jerishow appear and leave Edge in a bloody mess through his limo. At Elimination Chamber after a brilliant match Edge is getting ready to spear Jericho when Big Show appears from the back and hits Edge with a knockout punch. This gets Jericho disqualified but he doesn't care as the beatdown on Edge begins. But then Christian's music hits and he comes down to the ring to save his old best friend as Jerishow escape.

Then on ECW Christian explains that Edge is a changed person and he now has forgiven him for all of his sins and introduces Edge. After Edge and Christian do some comedy they issue a challenge to Jerishow for a TLC match for the title at Wrestlemania 26. On Smackdown Jerishow accept. They accept so it's official—it's Jerishow vs Edge and Christian at Wrestlemania 26 in a TLC match for the Unified Tag Titles. The next week on ECW Edge and Christian are being interviewed in a random bar when the bartender asks the boys if they would like another drink and they say yes and then when the barman brings over the drinks it turns out it's Jericho and he smashes them over the head with their drink bottles and then Big Show comes and puts the two through snooker tables.

Then on Smackdown Jericho gives one of his classic promos about how he's the best and always one step ahead of the opposition before he and Big Show destroy the Hart Dynasty in a non-title match. Later on in the show it cuts to Jericho and Big Show getting into a limo when an Ambulance just misses them and drives into the limo with the occupants of the Ambulance then reversing and driving away leaving Jericho and Show with a shocked look on their face.

Then on ECW Christian takes on Big Show in a chair match and it ends when Big Show aims to smack Christian in the skull with it but he ducks and Edge dropkicks of the top rope and hits the chair into his Big Shows face and then spears Jericho of the ring apron where he is standing and then Christian pins Show for the win.
At the start of Smackdown that week Teddy Long announces that Jericho will take Edge on in a steel cage match in the main event. Jericho wins by climbing out of the cage after knocking Edge off by tugging on his hair and shoving him of the cage and into the ring.
On the penultimate ECW before Wrestlemania Edge and Christian take on the Champs in a tag match with Jericho and Show coming out on top after Big Show knocked out Edge and Christian with a double punch and then Jericho pinning Christian for the win.

Then on Smackdown each team will have a table match against another tag team. Both teams win with Edge and Christian defeating the Hart Dynasty and Jerishow defeating MVP and Mark Henry. Then on the final ECW before Wrestlemania there is a special Peep Show with steel chairs, tables and ladders in the ring. Christian announces his guest, Edge. A video is shown of Edge and Christians History in TLC matches and as they sit on top of the ladders they explain how they are going to defeat Jerishow and become Unified Tag Team Champions. Jerishow come out and dispute that claim and as they start to climb the ladders on the other side of the ring Edge and Christian jump of the ladders they're on and dropkick the ladders that Jerishow are on and Jericho and Big Show fall to the floor outside the ring. As the show ends Edge and Christian leave celebrating as Show and Jericho lie on the floor wounded.

On Smackdown there is a six man tag match between Jeirshow and Dolph Ziggler vs Edge/Christian and Tommy Dreamer but the match ends in a no contest as a brawl ensues between the teams, which subsequintly starts a rivalry between Ziggler and Dreamer, and officials have to come out to split the men up.

Wrestlemania

At Wrestlemania Edge and Christian become the new champs in a thrilling 30 minute contest which ends when Christian jumps off the ladder and frog splashes Big Show through the announce table and then Edge spears Jericho off another ladder for the three count.

Why should this match happen?
Since the moment Christian came back to WWE everybody is waiting for the moment that him and Edge reunite. Another reason is that Jericho and Edge is definitely the feud that he will come back to when he returns and thirdly there is the history between Big Show and Edge over Vickie Guerrereo which could also play a part in this storyline.

What are the chances of this match happening?
They will probably drop the titles from Jeri-Show and split them up at TLC but I would rather they went with this match but it will probably be Edge vs Jericho in a single match and Christian will be in the ECW title match or Money In The Bank. Again though this depends whether Edge will be fit in time for Wrestlemania.

Main Event - Undertaker and Shawn Michaels Careers On The Line – Brothers of Destruction (Undertaker & Kane) vs DX (Triple H & Shawn Michaels)

Main Event—Undertaker and Shawn Michaels Careers On The Line – Brothers of Destruction (Undertaker & Kane) vs DX (Triple H & Shawn Michaels)

Build Up—On the Raw after Elimination Chamber DX come out to talk about their plans for Wrestlemania and say they want a challenge against another team. Shawn Michaels said that he still hasn't had a rematch against Undertaker but agreed with Triple H that they need to do something together this year so he suggested that DX take on the Brothers of Destruction and called them out. The gongs sound and the lights went out as the brothers made their way to the ring. Undertaker said that their had to be a bigger incentive as they are halfway there because he gets to team with his brother for the first time at wrestlemania ever but he has beaten both Triple H and Shawn Michaels at Wrestlemania.

Shawn Michaels suggests he picks the match type to which he agrees is another incentive but not good enough then Triple H says that how about these 3 incentives—1. You are teaming with your brother Kane. 2. You get to pick the match type and 3. Shawn will put his career on the line.

HBK agrees but then gives Trips a funny look and says "What?" Trips then replies, "I haven't finished. If you two win Shawn will retire but if DX win you have to retire Taker."

Undertaker agrees to his demands and asks Kane, "what match it should be?" Kane has a think for a minute but then in his evil voice says a buried alive match where both members have to be buried alive. DX agree and then go to attack the Brothers but they duck and clear DX out of the ring. Over the rest of the build-up the two teams cut promos on their respective shows about the match with DX focusing on comedy and the Brothers focusing on the concept of the buried alive match and Undertakers Wrestlemania Streak. There is no real contact between the two as the contract states that no physical contact between the two is permitted until Wrestlemania.

Wrestlemania

At Wrestlemania Undertaker and Kane win in a 40 minute contest which has many near falls from all four and ends when Triple H aims to pedigree Kane through the announce table but Kane counters into a chokeslam and puts Triple H in to the gravel and buries him alive. While this is happening HBK is distracted by and Undertaker turns him round and Tombstones him for the third time in the match and pushes him into the grave and Kane then puts the gravel onto DX for the win.

Why should this match happen?
This would be a dream match especially considering how good last years single match between Taker and HBK was and it would be great to see Kane in a big match again.

What are the chances of this match happening?
As Vince McMahons theme tune say there is "NO CHANCE IN HELL" that this will happen and if it did then I doubt that careers would be on the line.
