It's week 12 in this fantasy football season and the playoffs are right around the corner. Many fantasy league players desperately need to win to have a chance at making the playoffs. As we all know there are many risky decisions that you can make that will get you a W or come back and bite you. So if your not sure and need someones advice besides yours I will try to help you out and get you a much needed win. I will break down for you the NFL players that will have breakout performances and some that will really hurt you if you place them in your starting lineup.
Lets be honest the Cleveland Browns are terrible. There defense is no where to be found, as the Detroit Lions made that clear just a week ago. This team has to be very low on morale and everything and don't expect it to get any better as Carson Palmer and the red hot Bengals take them on in Paul Brown Stadium. There is no doubt that the Browns secondary is the weakest point on the team as they gave up over 400 yards passing and 5 touchdowns to rookie quarterback Matthew Stafford, and no it shouldn't be that easy for a rookie. So you can imagine what a veteran quarterback like Carson Palmer will do against them. Plus he will be featured even more since we just got the update that Cedric Benson will be inactive. Even though it will most likely be a blowout by the time the 4th quarter starts you should expect Palmer to have over 300 yards and 4 touchdowns. He will be in the top 5 performers this week in fantasy football. He is a must start.
There is no doubt that all signs point to Burleson having a career day against the struggling Rams. Matt Hasselback will throw for more than 40 passes and expect the majority of those throws to be intended for Burleson. In week one of the season Burleson had 7 catches for 74 yards and a touchdown against the Rams. I expect him to double that output. The Seahawks know that they need this win and they will not let down on the Rams.
Hasselback is one of those players that floats under the radar, but I expect him to come out this week and shine. He already has destroyed the Rams defense once this year and there is no doubt that he will do it again. He will come out of the gate throwing and will have over 40 pass attempts. Expect him to have over 300 yards and 3 or more touchdowns.
Is this a joke? I think not, MJD will finally be shut down after going on his great fantasy run. Im not saying he will be shut down for the rest of the season, but I just don't see him putting up his normal numbers against a well oriented 49ers run defense. If MJD only had 66 yards on 25 carries against the Bills a week ago, who just happen to be letting up the most fantasy points to opposing running backs, don't expect him to get much more against the 49ers. I think that he will be held below 80 yards and kept out of the endzone.
The Titans are on a roll and I don't believe that Warner will be the one to stop them. Warner is coming back from being knocked around last week after he suffered a blow to the head. I believe that he was hit hard enough to make him make some bad decisions this week. That is jusk a pun though. Though I don't believe he will put up any numbers that you need from him. Matt Hasselback and Carson Palmer are available in a lot of leagues you should pick one of them up. Warner will have just over 200 yards passing and 2 tds and and interception.
Yes Owens had a great performance last week but there is no way he will match that performance this week or even come close to it. He will get back to the way that he was before last week, which means he will have under 50 yards recieving and no touchdowns. Sorry TO but you aren't what you used to be.
