Due to headaches stemming from his concussion he received in Week 11, Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger will not compete in Week 12 's matchup against the Baltimore Ravens.

FOX's Jay Glazer has reported, via Twitter, that Roethlisberger will miss this week's action due to exercise-induced headaches, which has prompted the coaching staff to give him an extra week for recovery.

Given the effects concussions have had on other stars such as Clinton Portis and Brian Westbrook this season, the Pittsburgh management chose to be extra careful with their franchise quarterback.

Fantasy Perspective: This is bad news for the Pittsburgh passing offense, which was slated for a big day against a very vulnerable Ravens pass defense. However, former third string quarterback Dennis Dixon will assume the starting duties. Back-up Charlie Batch sustained a wrist injury (out 3-6 weeks) in last week's game, forcing the second year quarterback into the role.

This move will also increase the value of Rashard Mendenhall, as he will be leaned on even more than usual, despite facing a very solid Baltimore rush defense.

Steven Jackson Iffy For Sunday

Jackson missed three straight practices this week, and despite reporting via Twitter that his sore back is "getting better", he's still expected to be a full-blown game-time decision on Sunday.

Jackson makes for a great play (as usual) against Seattle this week, but the Rams signing of Chris Ogbonnaya off their practice squad should raise some eyebrows.

If you have an even remotely decent RB option available, we suggest sitting S-Jax this week instead of facing the possibility of him landing you a goose egg.

Julius Jones to be a Game-time Decision

We're getting behind Justin Forsett completely this week, as we don't trust Julius Jones and his bothersome injured ribs. Jones has reportedly been dealing with a bruised lung as well, and considering Forsett's solid performances the past two weeks, his role is expected to be great enough to give him solid value going forward, regardless of Jones' status.
