Laker haters and fans alike, this will explain why this group of Los Angeles Lakers will win the 2009-2010 NBA Championship. There are a lot of skeptics out there who have a lot of opinions about who will win, but when it comes down to it, the Lakers just have more than any other team. Size, depth, toughness, defense, and arguably the best player in th game

Size Advantage

91246074

Only 14 games into the season and it is evident that the Lakers have an unfair size advantage over every other team in the league. With 2 seven footers in the starting lineup and a very strong and solid Ron Artest along with one of the strongest shooting guards in the NBA, it is impossible to play against them. The only three losses of the season came to them while Gasol was out with a hamstring injury.

Defense

56452234

The Lakers aren't the best defensive team in the league but they are consistent .Night in and night out they will get the job done. They lead the league in rebounds and are a top 10 team in steals. Because of their not so overwhelming numbers, they are an underrated defensive team but so far this season their starters are very good defensively.Gasol and Bynum are altering or blocking every shot inside the 3-point arc,and Artest and Bryant are holding other teams to a league best 30 percent from the 3 point line.

Ron Artest

With all due respect to Mr. Ariza, the Lakers have a HUGE upgrade at small forward this year.He can shoot it just as well, and he is stronger and more versatile. He can guard some of the bigger forwards that Ariza could not handle and he has shown everybody that he can play team ball and pass it. He is averaging 4 assists this year with the Lakers while Ariza averaged 1.8 last season. And he can shoot the ball every bit as good as Ariza could, if not better. This is a guy who made 10-3 pointers in the annual Laker Thanksgiving scrimmage.

Offense

93385504

The Lakers are an talented offensive team who will wear down the opposing teams frontcourt. The Lakers have 4 players who can post up in the paint which will allow for a double team most of the times which will most often mean an wide open Ron Artest or Derek Fisher. Having 2 offensive weapons coming off the bench is a big plus too. Lamar Odom and Shannon Brown can both come into the game and spark a run whenever needed. Pau Gasol has been playing wit renewed vigor, and Bynum is playing like an All-star,and Kobe can hit 40 or 50 points at will so there isn't a team out there who can stop the Lakers except the Lakers.

2 of the Best Players in the World

93243149

They are currently the best one two punch in the NBA today. Not since Kobe and Shaq have I seen two players that complement each other so well. What makes them so good playing with each other is their knowledge of the game and high basketball IQ. Kobe and Gasol dominated the 2009 NBA Finals and as long as both of them are healthy, they will do the same in 2010.
