So you say Wade Phillips is doomed after this season? That anything short of the a Super Bowl win will cause Jones to fire Phillips?

One can't forget that Jerry Jones in the past has given more than two chances to head coaches such as Barry Switzer, Dave Campo and the Big Tuna Bill Parcells. So why is Phillips any different than any of those coaches?

Remember Parcells who was the Cowboys head coach for four years failed to win a Super Bowl and retired from coaching. Dave Campo, who coached the team from 2000-2002, was 5-11 three years running and was never really at fault since his boss was in fact the root cause of the problems.

Now Phillips is made to be the scape goat by people who are, in my opinion, thinking that Jerry is going to go back to his old tricks.

Well, I think even if Dallas fails to win a Super Bowl this year, Wade Phillips will be back for the 2009 season and will serve as head coach. The reason he would leave is when he feels it is time to step down and hand off the reigns to someone else.
