Not much to report. As mentioned in a June Press Release, Notre Dame is not rushing into a decision on a new athletic director. Notre Dame recently hired an Executive Search firm and will be conducting a complete search process.

In short, we're not likely to see a decision in the immediate future.
Various sources have described the front runners as Steve Orsini of SMU and Rick Chryst from the MAC, but at this point it's all speculation.
One person who won't be part of the search process is Gophers athletics director Joel Maturi, who said on Thursday, "If they call, I'm going to tell them, 'Thank you, but I love what I'm doing.' "
