My stats are the basic triple crown ones and whatever stat they used to make eligibility, plus fielding percentage when I see fit, and Slugging, and OPS+ again when I see fit. I wil lindicate non triple crown stats by what they are.

I will use my own standards for chooseing a rookie season The criteria is the first season a player has one or more of the following: 60 games played or 130 At Bats. For pitchers: 25 games pitched in, or 100 Innings Pitched.

"Qualifications for a rookie: Not more than 130 at-bats or 50 innings pitched in the major leagues during a previous season or seasons, nor more than 45 days on a major-league roster during the 25-player roster limit."

These are higher per season, but allow multiple seasons part time seasons to be a rookie, but I believe that people that played the minimum amount of MLB levels have/had/ will have, no shot at winning a ROTY award. Only one player was affected by this, but, I believe I still placed him right if you took the stats from either year.

*Disclaimer, in no way am I saying that any of the following players deserved the Rookie Of The Year award. I am merley saying they had very solid campaigns and deserve some recognition. Also, don't say I am biased because there are two Cardinals on this list. Also, Cardinal fans don't get mad at me not putting in Rasmus. I do think he deserved more votes, but, I also believe that Duncan and McClellan had better years as Card's rookies. I tried to limit myself to one Cardinal because Duncan was on this list no matter what.

Yea I said five, but I want to give my boy Yadier Molina some credit as he missed out on the list. Best deffensive catcher in MLB, getting up there in average. We salute you oh great defender of the plate.

2004: .267/2/15/.993(Fld%)

2004 Winner: Jason Bay

Big papa Panda. Pablo was my number two choice after the guy you will see next of my list for Rookie Of The Year in 2009, applying to MLB standards, now on my standards he was a rookie in 2008.

Man this guy could be the next, well not Barry Bonds, but actuall Giants hitter. I think their team this year consisted of 4 brooms, a Panda, 2 five year olds, and Mario Mendoza himself.

2008: Games Played:41 At Bats:145 .345/3/24/.490(SLG)

2008 Winner: Geovony Soto

Kyle McClellan lead the NL in holds at 30. 30 holds. Most of you are saying so what? It's holds. Well let me tell you, when a rookie leads a league in a positive stat, no matter if that's wins, homeruns, ERA or even holds, it is a pretty big thing.

Now Soto had just an incredible power season, so I still give him the award, but when you look back how many votes did McClellan get? Zero. Now it was a tough class going against Jay Bruce, Geovony Soto, and Joey Votto to name a few.

2008: Games Played:68 Innings Pitched:75,2 4.04/59/.269(BAA)/30HLD)

2008 Winner: Geovony Soto

JA Happ had a bust out season and was a main contributer to get the Phillies to the World Series again. Steped up when Hamels, well, not to offend any Phillie fans, sucked.

2009:Games Played:35 Inning Pitched:166 2.93/12/119

2009 winner: Chirs Coughlin

Edinson Volquez just desroyed hitted in '08. Him and Lincecum, were two very young pitchers who blew it up.

2008: Games Played:33 Innings Pitched:196 3.21/17/206/1.327(WHIP)
2008 Winner: Geovony Soto

2006: Games Played: 90 At Bats: 280. .293/22/43/140(OPS+)

2006 Winner: Hanley Ramirez. Games Played:158 At Bats:633 .292/17/59/116(OPS+)

I believe those stats speak for themselves. AVG: Duncan, HR:Duncan, RBI:Ramirez, OPS+: Duncan.

Also, Duncan was one that helped us get to the World Series, and win it. ROTY recall? I think it is in order.

I said earlier that I wasn't saying necessarily any of the following didn't get the win still in my mind, well Happ and Duncan do. Not Volquez or McClellan or Panda, but Happ and especially Duncan I think do.

Man look how many votes Duncan got! Holy cow. Even with 22 homeruns he got... ABSOLUTELY ZERO? 22 homeruns. That's a season anyone in MLB would take.Along with a .290+ AVG? Seriously. This proved BBWAA incompetence to vote for awards. Hanley just didn't deserve the award.

Look at Howard, he was a middeason call up he hit 22 homers. Thats the same as Duncan. Also Howard played more games in the previous year then Duncan(18(2HR) v 9(1 HR)). This is pathetic. I'm sorry BBWAA, but this was just one of the many mistakes they have made. How many Cardinal players must be jacked out of awards they deserve before we finally torch BBWAA HQ?

In fact lets make a counter. Chris Duncan(ROTY), Mark McGwire(MVP), Adam Wainwright(CY YOUNG), Albert Pujols(MVP(2003)), Tony Larussa(MOTY(2006)), Tony Larussa (MOTY(2009)), Albert Pujols(MVP(2004)), Ken Boyer(HOF), Mark McGwire(HOF), Stan Musial(100% of the votes for HOF), and Whitey Herzog(HOF). Just to name a few.
