Milwaukee Brewers

With the 54th pick...

The Milwaukee Brewers select Cutter Dykstra, IF/OF from Westlake HS in Westlake Village, California.
The son of former big-leaguer Lenny Dykstra.
Obtained the 54th pick from the Chicago White Sox when they signed free agent pitcher Scott Linebrink after the 2007 season.
Dykstra, 18, moved to his father's position, center field, as a senior at Westlake High School in Westlake Village, Calif. He batted .467 with 10 stolen bases and is a terrific athlete, running the 60 in 6.58 seconds.

Unlike his father, Dykstra is a right-handed hitter.
He has a scholarship to UCLA.
My Take
With this pick, the Brewers not only add depth to their future outfield, but they add yet another son of a former major leaguer.
