Browns Add Matt Roth
Drew Rosenhaus posted on his twitter page that the Cleveland Browns have claimed outside linebacker Matt Roth off of waivers from the Miami Dolphins. Roth was released by the Dolphins yesterday.
The Browns have had to move former starting outside linebacker David Bowens to inside linebacker because of injuries to Eric Barton and D`Qwell Jackson. Roth will add depth behind Jason Trusnik and Kamerion Wimbley.
The Browns waived linebacker Josh Stamer yesterday, so they will not need to get rid of any other players. The National Football Post is reporting that San Francisco, Jacksonville, Minnesota and Indianapolis also put a claim in for Roth.
