Chiefs Lose Cornerback For Season
The Kansas City Chiefs have announced that cornerback Maurice Leggett has been placed on injured reserve. Leggett has also seen time lining up at free safety. Leggett has played in all ten games in 2009, and he recorded 17 tackles.
Leggett has started four out of 22 games in which he has played in. With Leggett out, DeJuan Morgan will see more snaps on defense and on special teams. The Chiefs have not yet added a player to replace Leggett on the active roster.
Leggett returned an interception 27 yards for a touchdown in 2008. Leggett was dealt a shoulder injury in last weeks win against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Travis Daniels will likely play more at cornerback.
