Packers Lose Al Harris For Rest Of 2009

Bryan Brackney by Analyst Written on November 25, 2009
The Green Bay Packers will be without their starting right cornerback for the rest of the 2009 season. The Packers announced on Wednesday that they have placed Al Harris on season-ending injured reserve.

Harris tore his ACL in a win against the 49ers on Sunday. To fill Harris' roster spot, the Packers signed cornerback Trevor Ford. Tramon Williams, who serves as the Packers nickel cornerback, will replace Harris in the starting line up.

Jarrett Bush, Josh Bell, and Brandon Underwood provide the Packers with their primary depth at cornerback. Ford will likely play only on special teams, with plenty of bodies ahead of him on the depth chart.
