Panthers Lose Johnson For Year, Sign Senn

Bryan Brackney by Analyst Written on November 25, 2009
The Carolina Panthers have placed linebacker Landon Johnson on season ending injured reserve, Charles Chandler of the Charlotte Observer is reporting. The Panthers also signed linebacker Jordan Senn.

Senn played in one game with the Colts in 2009, after he was a special teams staple with the Colts in 2008. Johnson suffered a right knee injury last week against Miami. Johnson was already replacing Thomas Davis, who is on IR.

James Anderson will likely start for in Johnson's place. Kelvin Smith, Dan Connor, and Jordan Senn are the Panthers only reserve linebackers. All of them played inside linebacker before they came to Carolina.
