Colts Release Mike Hart, Sign Defensive End
Adam Scheftler of ESPN.com is reporting via twitter that the Indianapolis Colts have released running back Mike Hart and signed defensive end Josh Thomas. Hart did not see any carries in 2009.
Hart was mainly being used on special teams if he was being used at all. Hart will likely be signed to the Colts practice squad, if he can clear waivers. Thomas will add depth at defensive end, where the Colts need players to spell Freeney and Mathis.
With Colts starting right end Dwight Freeney still not fully healthy, and Robert Mathis' size limiting his snaps. Robert Mathis and Keyunta Dawson need a break. Brock got most of the Colts fourth quarter snaps last Sunday.
