Things the Giants should do to beat the Broncos on Thanksgiving night.

1) Ride the Hot hand of ELI

Eli Manning destroyed the Atlanta Falcons for 384 yards in the Giants 34-31 victory at the Meodowlands on Sunday.  Manning should have no trouble throwing against the Bronco secondary. Keep it simple throw opposite of Champ Bailey and you can get results.

2) Establish the Run

With a short week and traveling, use Brandon Jacobs and one of the best lines in football to your advantage.  Brandon says he is good to go after missing some time against the Falcons.  With that said, its time to let the big fella have 20 carries against a small defensive line.  This is a defense that is not deep, so run the ball and tire them out.

3) Depth at D-line come in handy

Tuck, Osi, Kiwi and the rest of the cast of characters should have plenty of action in this game.  In a short week and in high altitude, a simple rotatation is needed to keep them fresh against a struggling offensive line. With Orton not at 100% with an ankle injury, the d-line wont need to chase Orton either for a sack.

4) Roll coverage to Brandon Marshall

With the Giants secondary stuggling, no need to allow a big play receiver like Marshall get open deep.  Double team this guy and give him different looks throughout the game.  We should treat him like most team defend Randy Moss. Have Webster and Thomas rotate the coverage against him with Webster getting the majority of the man coverage against him.  We know the Broncos will try to get him the ball early after the blow up with teammate.

5) Blitz Orton

Orton has limited mobility, Blitz him from everywhere.  No zone blitzes, just straight out bring the house type blitzes.  The Broncos could be without their starting tackle

6) Early lead will to silence the crowd

Denver is a loud place to play and the Giants will need to quickly silence the crowd with a early lead.  An early lead of 7-0 will also be hard for the Broncos to overcome with the way they are playing.

Yes this is the simple road philosophy on how to win a game.  Denver is playing awful right now and have been worse than the Giants in their losing streak.  A lack to depth has clearly taking its toll on the Broncos.

Brain Dawkins will lead this team against his old nemesis.  Dawkins might not be the same player as he in Phily but has done well against the Giants throughout his career. Message to Eli, keep the ball away from Bailey and Dawkins. Go after everyone else.

The Broncos need to play mistake free football to win. The defense has has been giving up over thirty points a game against since their bye in week 7.  Denver seems to been exposed by the Ravens in week 8 and the rest of the league has followed suit. Just as the league has followed suit after the Giants were exposed by the Saints in pass coverage.

I see the Giants simply riding Eli Manning in this game to victory.  With Ahmad Bradshaw probably out vs the Broncos look for the Giants to throw the ball early to Steve Smith and Kevin Boss to loosen up the Broncos defense allowing Jacobs to run freely.  Jacobs should have oppertunities against a small defense the Broncos have upfront.

Kyle Orton will have to rely on the running game to bail him out from throwing but it has struggled lately.  Moreno and Buckhalter have had moments but not in the losing streak. Orton will need to stay up right for Denver to have a shot as Chris Simms needs to get his timing back after away from the NFL for almost 2 years.

Final Score Giants 24 Broncos 10

Happy Thanksgiving to all
